About

In January 2001 the Biblical School of Theology conducted

its first class. BST was the dream of Eastern Heights

Church Senior Pastor Farris Whitehead who envisioned a

Bible school that would serve churches and pastors in the

Johnson County region. Whether pastoral, missions, youth,

childrens, worship, or marketplace ministry, the vision has

been to equip Gods people for service in His Kingdom.

Today BST graduates serve in positions of senior pastor,

associate pastor, youth pastor, mens pastor, missionary, mens home director, and marketplace ministry.

BST offers a Diploma of Practical Theology and a Diploma of Theology. We do not provide a traditional degree program because we desire that anyone may attend classes whether they have a high school diploma or not. Our focus is dedicated exclusively to Christian Biblical education. The Bible is our primary text book.

On-Campus Program

Classes are currently held in the Biblical School of Theology

building on the campus of Eastern Heights Church. The school

year consists of two semesters. A Fall semester from August to

December and a Spring Semester from January to May. Classes

are conducted in the evening on Tuesday and Thursday of two

consecutive weeks each month.

Correspondence Classes

A self paced Correspondence Program is available for those who are unable to attend on campus. The courses may be taken by audio cassette or CD. Upon completion of each course, exams are taken, mailed in, and graded. Students receive report cards and credit toward graduation.
